Fall 2006 Sorry everyone, it's been so long since we checked in. Here's the proverbial scoop, it's now the Fall and there are some shows lined up (both solo and full band) including a very special celebration of 10 years of our label Summersteps Records in November. Check out all of our upcoming shows right here. In other news, this Summer we returned to Dan's House Studio and recorded some new songs for our upcoming studio record tenatively titled Imaginary Songs and Aluminum Hits. No release date yet, but most likely sometime next year. We're also bracing for a very special DVD release on the Summersteps Handmade imprint this November. It documents a Kid Icarus live set filmed last December at Test Pattern in Scranton, PA. It's also got a few other surprises on it as well. In the meantime, here is a preview. We will also be releasing a collection of archival material called The Cassette Years that will collect together two long lost classics (1998's The Cucumber Album and 1999's ultra-rare Laughing Skeletons EP) both with remastered sound. Available sometime in early '07 also via Summersteps Handmade. We promise to keep you posted on all this good stuff.

Spring 2007 Hello everyone! It's been awhile, don't worry we're still here. Happy belated X-mas, New Years, Saint Patricks Day, etc. We're slowly working on new songs, recording demos and playing the occasional live show around town. More news sooner or later.
Summer 2007 Updated August 2007 Our long awaited archival release is now available on Summersteps Records Handmade. It collects together two of Kid Icarus early cassette releases (The Cucumber Album and The Laughing Skeletons EP). It's now available, so get thee to the handmade shoppe! Some other news here at Kid Icarus central to report. Eric phoned in a solo acoustic performance to the aptly named Phoning It In radio program. You can listen to the performance here (Please note: performance starts at 4 min and 25 seconds in). Some of the other bandmates have been busy too. Thad who plays drums and Ted who plays bass both have solo records out on the summersteps handmade imprint that are well worth purchasing. Thad's is My Dad Is A Dinosaur - The Devil The Playhouse and Ted's is amasa - krystal klub. New songs are piling up and are being recorded and worked on. Expect a new full length in '08 and possibly an EP too. We've been laying off playing live a little bit, but there will be a handful of special acoustic gigs this summer. Check our myspace for more info about those and a possible short solo tour may be in the works for the Fall, we'll keep you posted. Also, you can now purchase all three Kid Icarus full length LPs on iTunes and eMusic along with an assortment of various other legal digital music outlets. That is all for now, over and out.
